The Creative Burden

I make a claim: I am creative. Now just because I say that, you won't believe me will you? No. Because you are smart, intelligent people who do not take simple little comments like " I am creative" for face value. So my burden is simple: to prove to you that I speak the truth, and only the truth. Well, except when I don't.

    Favorite Book: Atlas Shrugged

“Mr. Rearden,” said Francisco, his voice solemnly calm, “if you saw Atlas, the giant who holds the world on his shoulders, if you saw that he stood, blood running down his chest, his knees buckling, his arms trembling but still trying to hold the world aloft with the last of this strength, and the greater his effort the heavier the world bore down on his shoulders—what would you tell him to do?”
“I…don’t know. What.. could he do? What would you tell him?”
    “To shrug.”

I chose to do this picture in black and white to symbolize that in life there are certain rights and wrongs that must be upheld. To violate these truths, one will only sacrifice his or herself. Just like there can be no compromise in this fact, there are no shades of grey in the picture.
